Children are born with an innate sense of wonder and faith that is real and authentic.  We believe one of our roles as a church is to provide a foundation of experiences on which children build a life of learning and growth toward a mature and vital faith.

Nursery

Sunday Mornings at 9:45 AM to 12 Noon (or when 11 AM worship lets out).

We have a nursery available for children ages newborn to 3 years old.  It is managed by Varnell Church staff. For safety, children are signed in and out of the nursery. Please inform our nursery staff of any concerns or allergies. All staff and volunteers undergo a national criminal background check before being approved to work or help with our children and youth.

Sunday School

Sunday Mornings at 9:45 AM

In these classes children are given the opportunity to learn about God and themselves through lessons from the Bible.

Praise Kraze

Sunday mornings around 11:25 AM.

The children join us for worship in the sanctuary with their parents for the 11 AM worship service.  Right before the sermon, the children (ages kindergarten through 5th grade) are excused for their own special time of worship.  Parents can pick up their children in Room 223 after the worship service is over, or the children will rejoin the services on Sundays where Holy Communion is served.

Kids Club

Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8 PM in the Gym

This is a time during the week when children are given another opportunity to learn about God and themselves through story, drama, play, video, class discussion, music and crafts.  Kids Club is for children in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. We follow the Whitfield County Schools calendar.   If there is no school that day, we do not meet.  In the summer months, we meet once a month for special outings.

Outreach Projects

Throughout the year, the children also participate in outreach projects for our local community.  We feel that helping others is an important part of being a Christian.
