Misti was born in Dalton and has lived in the north Georgia area all her life. She was raised in the Methodist church and in the Tunnel Hill community and graduated from Northwest High School. She is married to Anthony, her high school sweetheart, and they have been married since December 1995. They have three sons, Zack, Ryan and Nathan. They are proud to call Varnell United Methodist church their home as well as the city of Varnell. Her educational background is in early childhood education and educational administration. Misti loves teaching and currently teaches at New Hope Elementary. She feels it is truly a blessing to be Varnell UMC’s Children’s Coordinator. “Children are our future and it is our responsibility to guide them as they grow.” She is excited to be a part of helping children grow in their relationship with God.
